Principal Function of the Position:
Will be responsible for supporting incoming sales calls, providing prompt concise follow up with customers, order entry, and data input for maintaining customer database. Will be expected to support Unverferth Sales and Marketing management team as well as Territory Managers on product availability and coordination of goods being accurately shipped to customers.
Primary Sales Duties:
- Provide daily telephone support functions for incoming sales and product support calls.
- Perform daily administrative and documentation support functions for office area.
- Provide daily order entry data entry, document filing and preparation of shipments.
- Provide periodic project support as directed by sales management and/or senior management.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for various sales & marketing functions.
- Review and update knowledge of existing and new product offerings.
- Provide assistance as needed at trade shows.
Education Requirements:
Prefer a minimum of an Associates’ degree in agriculture-business, business administration, sales & marketing, or other related field of study; or equivalent work experience. Hands-on familiarity with farming operations or use and upkeep of agricultural equipment is a plus.
Prerequisite Skills and Work Experience:
- Previous experience and/or familiarity in customer service or inside sales support functions.
- Previous experience and/or familiarity in dealing with external outside customers or vendors.
- Proficient written, verbal and telephone communications skills.
- Proficient PC computer skills and hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point.
